Position Summary: CharacterStrong is seeking a full-time data analyst to support a wide range of systems, reporting, and data process improvements. This role will be tasked with exploring, creating, and refining key data stories that incorporate inputs from our customers, finances, product, and operational environments. This position will devise innovative methods to clean and maintain the integrity of raw data while creating highly effective charts and graphs. A successful Data Analyst will possess the right blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn. Additionally, they will work closely with current system owners and key department leads to understand requirements and deliver value across all departments within CharacterStrong.

Data Analyst Targeted Responsibilities

  • Provides information and data analysis support to the research and evaluation department staff
  • Creates and completes all routine and ad hoc report requests
  • Extracts data from various sources and combines them to meet reporting needs
  • Completes analyses of data from a range of data resources to ensure data quality
  • Identifies data quality issues and seeks resolution in cooperation with key department leads
  • Maintains documentation of the database and report development; data analysis methods and results

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related data analysis experience and a passion for data analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical concepts in the development of data collection instruments and methods, knowledge of statistical software and techniques in the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets
  • Experience in the design, development, and administration of complex statistical databases, based on an understanding of underlying data requirements, and experience in the design and production of comprehensive computerized data queries and reports
  • Candidate must have strong computer skills, primarily in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
  • Experience with Hubspot and/or NetSuite, along with advanced development experience (SQL, Python, R, other reporting packages) preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels and a diverse customer base
  • Thrives in an upbeat, fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
