Job Summary

The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of mission critical data security tools pertaining to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Unstructured Data Protection. Responsible for the technical aspects of the implementation of planned activities related to one or more key security functions: risk and issue assessment and remediation of key corporate security vulnerabilities, supporting security awareness, and design and review of data security initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participates in physical control initiatives including but not limited to deployment of physical security & facility management solutions,
  • Participates in the maintenance and enhancements of physical control solution standards and ensures initiatives align to such standards.
  • Participates in vetting of new or enhanced technologies and features within the Physical Controls portfolio.
  • Participates in Continual Service Improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for process & design improvement
  • Drive and participate in the reduction of enterprise and organizational cybersecurity risk.
  • Manage workload, prioritizing tasks and documenting time, and other duties.
  • Drive and participate in the collection, documentation and dissemination of vital information.
  • Key participant in the development, population, and championing of knowledge management and collaboration systems for the Cybersecurity team.
  • Communicates complex technical information to team members and all levels of management.
  • Act as a Physical Controls advocate for IT operations team's adherence to CommonSpirit Health policies and industry best practices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Preferred or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3-4 years job related experience required
  • Knowledge of complex solution design and delivery techniques and best practices required.
  • Proficient understanding of ISO Model
  • Proficient understanding of regulatory and compliance mandates, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare environments preferred.
