Job Description
The Enterprise Project Manager Executive will serve as a senior-level technical leader responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining highly specialized IT infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems. This role involves hands-on system administration, performance tuning, storage architecture design, and providing subject-matter expertise across multiple enterprise platforms. The consultant will also provide mentorship to junior system programmers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability, reliability, and high availability.
Daily Duties / ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Infrastructure Leadership
- Architect, develop, and implement highly specialized IT architecture solutions.
- Serve as the Storage Infrastructure Architect for mission-critical systems.
- Perform daily health checks on core systems including:
- Kafka
- SAM-QFS
- ZFS
- ESXi
- Splunk
- Openduty
- Nagios
System Administration
- Conduct independent analysis, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex web, mainframe, and client-server technologies.
- Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise systems software, hardware, and related infrastructure.
- Provide advanced technical support for operating systems and subsystems critical to enterprise operations.
System Maintenance & Optimization
- Function as a Subject Matter Expert for designing, installing, and maintaining system software supporting mission-critical environments.
- Perform system tuning, performance optimization, and capacity tracking.
- Ensure overall system stability and operational reliability.
- Train and mentor Systems Programmers (Level I & II).
- Provide expert-level technical assistance to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with other departments and serve as a technical advisor on complex systems.
Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)
- 10+ years of experience with SAM-QFS
- 10+ years of experience with SL8500
- 10+ years of experience with ACSLS
- 10+ years of experience working with Clemson USCalifornia DRBS relationship
- Strong background in enterprise-level system administration and architecture
Required Education
- Bachelor s Degree in Math, Science, or a Technical Field
