Job Description

The Enterprise Project Manager Executive will serve as a senior-level technical leader responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining highly specialized IT infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems. This role involves hands-on system administration, performance tuning, storage architecture design, and providing subject-matter expertise across multiple enterprise platforms. The consultant will also provide mentorship to junior system programmers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability, reliability, and high availability.

Daily Duties / ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Infrastructure Leadership

  • Architect, develop, and implement highly specialized IT architecture solutions.
  • Serve as the Storage Infrastructure Architect for mission-critical systems.
  • Perform daily health checks on core systems including:
  • Kafka
  • SAM-QFS
  • ZFS
  • ESXi
  • Splunk
  • Openduty
  • Nagios

System Administration

  • Conduct independent analysis, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex web, mainframe, and client-server technologies.
  • Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise systems software, hardware, and related infrastructure.
  • Provide advanced technical support for operating systems and subsystems critical to enterprise operations.

System Maintenance & Optimization

  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert for designing, installing, and maintaining system software supporting mission-critical environments.
  • Perform system tuning, performance optimization, and capacity tracking.
  • Ensure overall system stability and operational reliability.
  • Train and mentor Systems Programmers (Level I & II).
  • Provide expert-level technical assistance to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments and serve as a technical advisor on complex systems.

Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)

  • 10+ years of experience with SAM-QFS
  • 10+ years of experience with SL8500
  • 10+ years of experience with ACSLS
  • 10+ years of experience working with Clemson USCalifornia DRBS relationship
  • Strong background in enterprise-level system administration and architecture

Required Education

  • Bachelor s Degree in Math, Science, or a Technical Field
