The role involves leading the academic strategy, ensuring implementation across various school environments, and advocating for the methodology rooted in validated learning science.

Responsibilities

  • Designing academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable direction for curriculum development, student motivation systems, and digital application architecture.
  • Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to verify alignment, enforce accountability, and secure consistent delivery of results across schools.
  • Integrating quantitative data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify high-impact obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.
  • Ensuring strategic coherence through rigorous planning, continuous feedback mechanisms, and milestone governance to sustain focus on learning outcomes.
  • Serving as the principal external representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-stakes venues, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to influence systemic transformation in global education paradigms.

Skills

  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
  • Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
  • Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
  • Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
  • Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
  • Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders
  • Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture
  • Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts
  • Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks
