Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies (on-page, off-page, technical) to improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
• Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value opportunities and inform content strategy.
• Perform technical SEO audits and work with development teams to ensure website health, crawlability, and indexability.
• Optimize website content, meta descriptions, titles, and other on-page elements for search engines and user experience.
• Develop and execute link-building strategies to enhance domain authority and credibility.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
• Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices, and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with content, marketing, and product teams to integrate SEO into broader digital initiatives.
• Identify and resolve SEO issues, including broken links, duplicate content, and indexing problems.
• Provide recommendations for content creation and website improvements based on SEO insights.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, algorithms, and ranking factors.
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO elements (site architecture, crawlability, mobile-first indexing, schema markup).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads certifications.
• Experience in the telecommunications or tech industry.
• Familiarity with local SEO strategies for emerging markets.

• Fluency in Sesotho.
