Job Summary:

We are looking for an HRIS Specialist II to join our People and Culture (P&C) team. The HRIS Specialist performs a variety of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions including ensuring data governance and the processing and reporting of human resource data. Handles problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, policies, and practices. Provides system configuration, support and data analysis to meet the needs of the People and Culture department and users of the HRIS.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure business processes across multiple Workday functional areas including condition rules, validations, routing, approvals and notifications.

  • Configure and support core and advanced compensation, benefits, and payroll processes, including annual merit and open enrollment events, compensation and benefit plans, eligibility and validation rules, and payroll earnings, deductions, and calculations.

  • Configure and support Workday Learning and Talent, including course and trainer management, skills and experience and talent management.

  • Configure and support Workday Recruiting, including requisitions, candidate management, business process workflows, and reporting.

  • Build reports and dashboards using Workday reporting and calculated fields. Gather and present data for analysis.

  • Use EIBs for data loads, mass updates and corrections.

  • Conduct regular audits and data analysis on HRIS data, and system clean-up to ensure data governance across all functional areas.

  • Provide training and ongoing support to P&C team members and end-users on system functionality and best practices. Create and maintain job aids and user communications.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline HRIS processes, improve the user experience, and increase user adoption.

  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, and enhancement rollouts.

  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resource Management or Related Field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

  • 5-8 years of HRIS experience specifically within Workday.

  • Hands-on experience within Workday including HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, and Talent required.

  • Strong understanding of Workday supervisory orgs, position management, benefit plans, job profile and compensation structures is required.

  • Strong understanding of Workday dashboards, and advanced and matrix reporting including calculated fields.

  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of data, including data visualization and analysis.

  • Working knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resource administration working with a global dispersed team across many geographies.

  • Experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO) or non-profit preferred.

  • French proficiency required.

  • This position is fully remote, but prioritizing candidates based in the Eastern Time Zone.

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.

  • Collaborative approach with a strong customer-service orientation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential data with discretion.

Management & Supervision

  • Provide suggestions on business and operational decisions that affect the department.

  • Set own goals and determine how to accomplish results.

  • Typically reports to a manager or Director.

Typical Physical Demands & Technology:

  • Typical office environment with the ability to spend long hours looking at a computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard, and ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Computer/Laptop, Microsoft applications (i.e., Office 365, SharePoint, Teams/Zoom), and standard office equipment.

Travel:

  • Less than 5%

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidates FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.  

Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 7% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule. 

US Based Hiring Salary Range: USD 80,000 - 110,000 annually
