The SilMan Project Team
This role is supported by a team of industrial professionals, including:
- Engineering: Collaborate with our estimating, design, and applications team to develop winning proposals.
- Trade Teams: seasoned foremen, supervisors, and skilled trade professionals are mission-driven, dependable, and communicative.
- Sales: The business development team consults with the SPM to achieve winning proposals, a smooth transition implementation, and satisfied clients.
- Project Management: The PM team meets regularly to collaborate, strategize, and discuss strategies for achieving and maintaining quality and efficiency.

As an SPM, you will continue this legacy by executing projects such as Street-Level Subway Entrances; Food and Beverage Facilities and Systems; Air Cargo Intermodal Transfer Terminal System; Baggage Handling; and Auto Manufacturing Systems.

What Does the Senior Project Manager Do?
The primary role of leaders at SilMan is to effectively manage and motivate teams. The SPM will employ this approach to support all onsite activities, from site confirmation to field installations and equipment commissioning, working closely with multiple internal teams, partners, and clients.
The daily scope of work includes cost management, scheduling, contract management, building permit administration, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier management, as well as the application of engineering and specification requirements.
Moreover, the SPM consults with engineering and sales teams to determine project requirements within schedule and budget without compromising safety standards.
Here are a few of the responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager
- Primary client contact throughout the project life cycle and final documentation
- Manage multiple projects with the support of onsite teams
- Select and manage vendors and suppliers
- Procure purchase orders and subcontractors based on engineered concepts
- Prepare change orders
- Generate progress reports
- Compile and submit progress payment requests
- Monitor, review, and update project cost reports
- Support of all onsite activities, including site confirmations, field installations, and equipment commissioning
Financial Responsibilities
- Project financial management
- Create, manage, and monitor budgets
- Cost control
- Cash flow management
- Financial reporting to stakeholders
- Budget calculations and adjustments
- Accurate record keeping
- Project estimations
- Allocate funds appropriately
- Coordinate accounting activities such as invoice processing and accounts payable/receivable
- Assess financial data and recommend improvements
- Track income and expenses
- Status reports for projects and the company
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, and/or equivalent experience
- 10 years' experience as Project Management in the Industrial or Manufacturing sectors
- Material Handling System experience is desired
- PMP Certification preferred
- Effective communication with internal teams, partners, and clients
- Effective interaction with local municipalities
- Excellent personal organization and time management
- Strong computer utilization
- Microsoft Projects and Primavera P6
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
- Procore Construction Management Software
- Sage Estimating CORE Plus SQL
- Demonstrated history employing MEP engineering, project management processes, and terminology, and construction methodology

Compensation
SilMan’s compensation packages are carefully tailored to each candidate’s experience, geographic location, and current market conditions. Our competitive base salary ranges are researched and benchmarked against peer companies at a similar growth stage.
The anticipated compensation package includes
- Competitive Base Salary

Job Location: Remote. The Senior Project Manager may expect 25% travel.
Daily Life: Our California office serves as a “home base” for the Project Manager. Primary office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Pacific time zone.
