Senior Product / UX Designer for Two-Sided Marketplace (Web + Mobile Responsive)

About Us

U-Rent is building a next-generation peer-to-peer rental marketplace where people can list and rent tools, vehicles, clothing, home items, and more.

Trust, clarity, and ease-of-use are core to our product. This is not a “template marketplace” — we are building a branded, category-diverse platform designed for long-term loyalty.

We are seeking an experienced Product / UX Designer to help refine the look, feel, and usability of our platform as we prepare for launch.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a senior-level designer with experience in:

Two-sided marketplaces, platforms, or complex consumer apps

Designing for trust, safety, and ownership

Creating clear, emotionally intuitive interfaces

Balancing usability with strong visual identity

Working closely with engineering teams

You should be comfortable owning design decisions and translating them into detailed, build-ready specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Audit and evaluate our current product UI/UX

Improve overall look, feel, and clarity

Strengthen trust signals and credibility throughout the platform

Refine category experiences (tools, clothing, vehicles, etc.)

Improve language and micro-copy in critical flows

Design a scalable design system

Produce detailed Figma files and component specs

Collaborate directly with our development team

Ensure consistency across all user flows

Required Experience

Please apply only if you have

5+ years of product/UX design experience

Demonstrated experience with marketplaces, platforms, fintech, or SaaS

Strong Figma proficiency

Experience designing responsive systems

Portfolio showing shipped products

Experience collaborating with engineers

Nice to Have

Experience with consumer marketplaces

Experience in fashion, lifestyle, or equipment/tools platforms

UX writing or copy optimization experience

Accessibility experience (WCAG)

Engagement Structure

Initial audit and strategy phase (2–3 weeks)

Followed by focused redesign and refinement

Ongoing collaboration possible
