Marketing Subject Matter Expert (SME) – AI Model Training

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Marketing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the training, evaluation, and refinement of AI models for advanced marketing use cases. This role bridges real-world marketing strategy with AI systems, ensuring models accurately understand marketing workflows, performance metrics, customer journeys, and business objectives.

You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to help build next-generation AI tools such as marketing assistants, campaign optimizers, and predictive analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

< data-start="935" data-end="975">1. Domain Training & Annotation

  • Provide marketing expertise during AI model training
  • Label, curate, and validate datasets (ad copy, KPIs, campaign briefs, customer segments, etc.)
  • Create realistic marketing scenarios (brand launches, A/B tests, multichannel campaigns)

< data-start="1224" data-end="1273">2. Workflow Simulation & Process Mapping

  • Translate end-to-end marketing workflows into structured training data
  • Identify key decision points, metrics, and dependencies
  • Work with ML engineers to build taxonomies, knowledge graphs, and structured datasets

< data-start="1500" data-end="1539">3. Model Evaluation & Feedback

  • Review AI-generated outputs for tone, creativity, compliance, and relevance
  • Provide structured feedback to improve model quality
  • Develop evaluation frameworks (brand consistency, audience fit, campaign impact)

< data-start="1761" data-end="1796">4. Strategic Collaboration

  • Define AI-driven marketing use cases (personalization, content generation, audience targeting, performance prediction)
  • Identify opportunities where AI can improve marketing efficiency
  • Stay current on marketing technologies, data platforms, and generative AI

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 7–12 years of hands-on marketing experience including:
  • Campaign strategy & execution (digital, social, performance, brand)
  • Marketing automation (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Analytics & reporting (Google Analytics, Looker, Power BI)
  • Customer segmentation, journey mapping & content strategy
  • Media planning, A/B testing & ROI optimization
  • SEO research using AI/ML-based methodologies
  • Strong ability to convert marketing problems into structured data or process documentation
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience working with data science, product, or engineering teams
