Disability Advocates Group

Part-Time Technical SEO & Organic Growth Strategist

(Crawl, Indexing, Publishing Strategy, Organic Visibility)

Location: Remote

Job Type: Part-Time (5-10 hours/week)

Schedule: Flexible

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

We are building a high-quality YMYL authority site in the legal and disability benefits space. This project involves real-world crawl and indexing constraints, not textbook SEO scenarios.

Google indexing behavior, crawl rate limiting, publishing cadence, and technical stability are central to this role. We are not looking for someone to “do SEO tasks.” We are looking for someone who can interpret Google behavior, diagnose causes, and help decide when to act — and when not to.

This role is ideal for an SEO professional who has worked through:

  • Crawl throttling
  • Indexing delays
  • New-domain trust phases
  • Publishing velocity constraints
  • Technical SEO decisions that affect crawl and index allocation

Core Responsibilities (Primary Focus)Crawl & Indexing Analysis (Critical)

  • Analyze Google Search Console data to interpret crawl behavior, discovery patterns, and indexing decisions
  • Distinguish between:
  • Real technical issues vs. Search Console reporting noise
  • Crawl rate limiting vs. server or rendering problems
  • Indexing delays vs. quality or architecture issues
  • Monitor how publishing cadence, sitemap changes, and internal linking affect crawl and indexing behavior
  • Help determine when intervention is appropriate versus when stability and patience are required

Technical SEO Implementation

  • Implement and validate technical SEO changes related to:
  • Indexing and crawl efficiency
  • Canonicalization and internal linking
  • Sitemap structure and behavior
  • Redirects and site architecture
  • Work within WordPress (Elementor) and RankMath to ensure technical consistency
  • Assist with diagnosing and resolving crawl or indexing bottlenecks without introducing unnecessary churn

Organic Content & Publishing Strategy

  • Support decisions around content rollout and publishing cadence based on observed Google behavior
  • Help prioritize which pages should be indexed first and which should wait
  • Align internal linking, content structure, and topical focus to reinforce crawl and index signals
  • Optimize content for long-term organic visibility rather than short-term publishing volume

Organic Social & Visibility Support

  • Assist with optimizing content for organic discoverability on social platforms
  • Help align organic social activity with broader SEO and indexing strategy
  • Analyze engagement and visibility trends to support organic growth goals

Analytics & Decision Support

  • Monitor and analyze organic performance data across search and social
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and correlations that inform technical and publishing decisions
  • Translate data into clear recommendations, not just reports

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong, practical understanding of technical SEO, including crawl and indexing behavior
  • Hands-on experience with Google Search Console beyond surface-level reporting
  • Ability to interpret Google behavior and explain why something is happening, not just what is happening
  • Experience implementing technical SEO changes and validating their impact
  • Familiarity with WordPress-based sites (Elementor experience a plus)
  • Comfortable working independently and making judgment calls

Strongly Preferred (High Signal)

  • Experience working on YMYL websites (legal, medical, financial)
  • Experience with crawl throttling, indexing delays, or new-domain trust issues
  • Ability to differentiate between:
  • Technical problems
  • Behavioral throttling
  • Normal indexing variance

Who This Role Is For

  • A strategist who can both analyze and implement
  • A consultant or freelancer seeking a long-term, part-time engagement on a serious project

Who This Role Is Not For

  • This is not a content writing role
  • This is not a link-building role
  • This is not a checklist-based SEO position
  • This is not a role for someone who equates SEO success with publishing volume

How to Apply

Please submit

  • Your resume
  • A short note describing a crawl or indexing issue you’ve worked through, including:
  • What signals you observed
  • What action (or inaction) you took
  • The outcome

Applicants who cannot discuss crawl and indexing behavior in concrete terms are unlikely to be a fit.
