Senior Software Developer (Logistics & Integrations)

We are looking for a rockstar Senior Software Developer with quantifiable experience in air freight or logistics tech to lead our integration work. You will collaborate with the Engineering Manager to design, develop, and deploy complex web applications, interacting with large freight forwarders and major airlines to integrate our technology.

This is a full-stack role with a primary focus on integrations. You will have the opportunity to work across the entire stack—from UI down to databases and containerization.

Note on Specialized Experience

Prerequisite: This position strictly requires prior experience in logistics-tech (Air Cargo experience is highly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Integration Leadership: Coordinate and communicate technical specifications with outside partners and airline stakeholders.
  • Full-Cycle Development: Work with stakeholders to bring products from inception to launch, including scoping, prototyping, and engineering.
  • Documentation: Collect, research, and document user requirements, technical manuals, and API reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Drive code standards, best practices, and performance testing to ensure optimum quality.
  • Collaboration: Support our group of companies and partners, assisting with problem-solving across programming teams.

Requirements

  • Logistics Tech: Proven background in logistics technology (Air Cargo experience is a significant bonus).
  • Core Experience: 5+ years of professional development experience on complex web applications.
  • API Design: Deep experience in designing REST and tRPC APIs.
  • Technical Stack: Full-stack proficiency with TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js, Postgres, Git, and AWS.
  • Systems Knowledge: Experience with distributed systems and previous complex platform development.
  • Product Focus: A track record in core product delivery is a huge plus.

Additional Information

  • Status: Salaried or Contract (Minimum one-year term).
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Timezone: Ideally suited for those who can work EST timezone.
