ProfitSolv is a SaaS business services provider for the legal and accounting industry. We are looking for an Human Resource Generalist to join our growing team!

The primary purpose of the HR Generalist is to support the day-to-day execution of people operations functions with a primary focus on payroll administration, HR compliance, and employee lifecycle support. This role ensures accurate payroll processing, maintains employee records, supports benefits administration, and assists with HR programs and policies that promote a compliant and well-functioning workplace.

The HR Generalist partners closely with the Director of People Operations and broader People team to support employees and managers while ensuring HR operations run efficiently and in compliance with applicable employment laws.

As a HR Generalist, you will

  • Process and administer full-cycle payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile all benefits invoicing including but not limited to: health and ancillary benefits, as well as Cobra.
  • Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data integrity at the directions of the Director of People Operations.
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire documentation, system setup, and termination processing.
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, life event changes, and employee questions.
  • Assist with leave administration processes including FMLA, disability, and other protected leave tracking.
  • Respond to employee HR inquiries regarding policies, payroll, benefits, and employment matters.
  • Assist with employee relations documentation and performance management tracking as needed.
  • Support policy implementation and ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Generate HR and payroll reports as requested by leadership.
  • Support internal audits and ensure proper documentation and record retention.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position follows established policies and procedures to keep confidential information secure.

A great fit for this position has

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of direct payroll processing experience (multi-state payroll strongly required).
  • Experience working with an Employee of Record.
  • Strong working knowledge of wage and hour laws, FLSA classifications, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Experience administering payroll platforms
  • Demonstrated experience reconciling payroll data and partnering with Finance teams.
  • Experience utilizing HRIS systems and maintaining high data integrity, experience in Paycom and Deel highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
