As a Process Development Co-op participant, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop manufacturing processes to create innovative, breakthrough next-generation medical devices. We partner with R&D on the front end of projects, innovate to determine how to make a design come to fruition and partner with Operations to launch life-saving devices into the market that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world.

Your responsibilities will include

Responsible for the integrity and content of Process Plans with respect to materials used in processing and sequencing of tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and refine manufacturing processes
Design, fabricate and test prototype devices to address clinical feedback
Conduct process characterization experiments and Process Validation to determine optimal settings to be used in device manufacturing
Investigate and recommend new technology to be utilized to create medical devices

Required Qualifications

Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
Must be able to commit to a full 8-month co-op assignment during one of the following timeframes:
January 12th, 2026 – August 7th, 2026, OR
May 18th or May 26th, 2026 – December 18th, 2026
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location

Previous internship or co-op experience

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
