BC Forward is Looking for Trainer - Early childhood Educator (REMOTE) Position: Early Childhood Education Trainer Location: Remote Job - Indiana Duration: 6 Months with the possibility to extend the contract. Notes: This is a remote position but the trainer needs to be in Indiana This is not a 40 hour a week job. Job Description: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an approved, related field (Child Development, Family Studies, Human Ecology, Child and Family Community Studies, Elementary Education) Minimum 5 years of experience as a trainer Experience teaching in an early childhood setting Comfortable with technology for teaching and learning Organized, responsible, and prepared Effective communication skills Demonstrated ability to differentiate and customize professional development/training for adult learners while maintaining high standards Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse populations, including colleagues, child care directors, administrators, families, and other stakeholders Demonstrated ability to translate assessment data into classroom instruction Knowledge of child development and early childhood-level curriculum, including Indiana’s Early Learning Foundations Standards Knowledge and ability to differentiate instruction for young children who require specialized supports, including children with disabilities and English language learners High degree of comfort using online learning tools Demonstrated ability to apply effective coaching techniques and strategies when working with adults Ability to receive constructive feedback to improve training (Note: evaluation and quality assurance are essential to this project, therefore all elements of training will be evaluated: content, delivery system, ongoing support, and trainer effectiveness) Duties and Responsibilities: Delivering high quality professional development to early childhood educators who include district administrators, resource teachers, special educators, English learner specialists, and school leaders. Delivery methods include face-to-face and online (webinar) training. Collaborating with client’s CTE staff and with fellow Training Specialists to ensure fidelity of implementation of the Early Learning Assessment training Providing coaching, consultation, and appropriate support to trainers and teachers implementing the Early Learning Assessment Facilitating an online professional learning community using the Johns Hopkins Center for Technology in Education’s learning management platform, including resource management and dissemination, posting announcements, answering questions, and providing technical assistance on an ongoing basis throughout the school year (approximately one time per week).
