Are People Your Passion? As a Part-Time Human Resource (HR) Coordinator you will serve as the key liaison within our HR Business Partner (HR BP) team, responsible for the day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Your primary role is to assist in the efficient coordination of HR activities including maintaining personnel records, participating in onboarding and offboarding activities, immigration liaison, and assisting employees with a variety of HR-related matters.

In this role, you will

  • Maintain electronic employee records, ensuring accurate documentation of employee relations issues, resolutions, performance reviews, and more.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding activities to include processing background screenings, I-9 verification, etc.
  • Assist with offboarding activities such as system terminations, preparing termination letters, severance agreements, and conducting exit interviews.
  • Perform client specific background screens and audits.
  • May conduct internal annual audits, including reviewing client specific background screening requirements, I-9s, and other compliance-related areas.
  • May act as support for immigration-related inquiries, processes, and events.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee questions via the general HR inbox.
  • Handle unemployment claims processing.
  • Support investigations by gathering necessary documentation, coordinating interviews, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Assist the HR team in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures consistently.
  • May conduct research on best practices for drafting company policies, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Prepare HR-related correspondence, presentations, and other communications.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources or a related field, ideally supporting an HR Business Partner, employee relations center of excellence, or similar role.
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Critical attention to detail and ability to work independently once provided instruction and direction.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines at any given time.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively present information clearly and respond to questions with leadership team and employees.
  • Strong competencies also include self-motivated, creative problem solver, customer focus, accountability for results, team collaboration and effectiveness, flexibility, and professional confidence.
  • Protect sensitive employee information and ensure compliance with privacy policies.
  • Understanding federal, state, and local labor laws is a nice to have.
