Position Summary We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Operations Manager. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring accurate and timely execution of all HR functions, including benefits administration, leaves and accommodations, employee relations, and HRIS and records management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations, a deep understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to lead and improve HR operational processes while ensuring alignment with company policies and strategic objectives. To be successful, you’ll need to be a detail-oriented, initiative taker. We need a broad thinker who can make suggestions, take constructive feedback with a good attitude and without pushback, and then go out and personally execute with diligence. Job Duties • Serve all stakeholders with integrity, humility, and joy while consistently modeling the importance of both task competency and relationships; • Participate in Company events, activities, and meetings with a smile and an infectious, great attitude; • Lead and manage the day-to-day HR operations including benefits administration, leaves & accommodations, onboarding & offboarding, and HRIS records management; • Continuously assess HR processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring legal compliance and enhancing the employee experience; • Keep all HR reporting and analytics data organized and accurate, and provide required reporting as needed; • Manage and track leave and accommodation requests, ensuring adherence to all state and federal laws; • Manage benefits and 401k plans, lead annual open enrollment, and manage annual reporting; • Support HR projects such as HRIS implementation, Educator licensing audits, and other projects as assigned; • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting orientations, new hire follow ups, exit interviews, and unemployment claims; • Investigate and resolve employee relations matters, keeping detailed documentation and records; • Partner with Payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and resolve payroll discrepancies to ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations; • Answer employee inquiries, providing guidance and support for all areas of responsibility, including performance related support and alignment to current policy; • Manage and mentor HR Assistant responsible for supporting daily administrative tasks; • Manage HR inbox escalations; • Partner with Communications team on company-wide HR communications; and • All other duties as assigned. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to consistently lead and serve others with humility, kindness, empathy and joy; • Expert knowledge of all HR functions, including benefits administration, leaves and accommodations, HRIS data and reporting, and employee relations; • Deep understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations such as HIPAA, FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, and other relevant employment laws; • Proven ability to manage HR operational processes and improve efficiency; • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights; • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, trust, and integrity; • Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail; • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally; • Unyielding work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and flexibility; • Ability to identify escalations and proactively partner with HR leadership to resolve; • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple deadlines and tasks; and • Ability to achieve performance metrics. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred; • Minimum of eight (8) years of Human Resources experience, showing progression of growth in roles; • Minimum of two (2) years of experience directly managing HR operations; • Experience managing HRIS systems and maintaining data and reporting integrity; • Experience with project management in HR functions; HRIS implementation experience preferred; • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations; • Strong experience with Mac OS, Google Workspace, and Asana preferred; • Private, distraction-free, professional remote work environment with high-speed internet; and • Ability to pass required background checks.
