About the position

The Human Resource Operations Administrator at Quorum Federal Credit Union plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team's mission to attract, develop, and retain top talent. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth HR operations by administering employee health insurance, benefits, and company perks, while serving as a liaison between employees, insurance providers, and vendors. The role also involves resolving benefits-related issues, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing administrative support to the HR function, contributing to a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage transactions related to HRIS employee lifecycle via UKG (Hires, Terminations, LOA, Change in Pay, Promotions, Organizational updates, etc.)

  • File documents into appropriate employee digital files.

  • Onboard new hires from offer acceptance to first day.

,

  • Prepare new-employee files and submit online investigation requests for background checks.

,

  • Administer employee separation processes and health/perks plans, including New Hire Benefit Orientation, enrollments, changes, and terminations.

,

  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers for accurate record-keeping and deductions.

,

  • Reconcile benefits invoices and conduct audits of benefits or other HR programs, recommending corrective action.

,

  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects, correspondence, and other HR-related tasks.

,

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of various reports across the HR scope.

,

  • Create, maintain, and administer company remote work culture events.

,

  • Maintain the intranet page and employee announcements for HR-related functions.

,

  • Identify process improvements to streamline operations and maintain adequate controls across the department.

,

  • Support talent development initiatives by assisting with training program administration and providing backup for administrative and technical functions.

,

  • Utilize data and analysis to prepare HR reports and metrics, supporting informed decision-making and contributing to strategic planning.

,

  • Promote and maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating professionally with members, co-workers, management, and vendors.

,

  • Stay updated on industry developments, including changes in regulations and technology.

,

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

,

  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar discipline preferred.

  • Two to five years of experience in HR operations, benefits administration, onboarding or related HR functions required.

,

  • Exposure to open enrollment cycles and experience with multiple HRIS, with UKG proficiency strongly preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.

,

  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

,

  • Working understanding of Human Resource principles, practices, and procedures.

,

  • Adaptable and able to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new HR technology tools and systems.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and utilize HR data to support decision-making.

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
