Job description: Position Overview The Senior Manager: B2B Paid Digital/Social Advertising develops and executes programs independently or with a small team. Expert domain knowledge is a must for B2B paid digital/social advertising (primarily Search, Social, Display/Programmatic, Shopping, and Video), in a position focused on full-funnel marketing using primarily an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and a Persona/Segment-Based marketing approach. Strong knowledge of other digital marketing tactics is required, particularly that of (organic) Social Media and Email Marketing, and also including a reasonably solid understanding of Landing Page Development, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Marketing and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). Deep understanding of Google Analytics is expected, including adeptness with Excel (pivot tables, etc.) and PowerBI. Demonstrated thought leadership within the industry is a plus, as evidenced by speaking at industry conferences and/or publishing to respected industry publications. Candidates must reside in the USA. This key position is 100% remote, and is for a seasoned business leader who understands how agencies work, in addition to having a broad understanding of (primarily) B2B business models employed by our clients, including revenue/cost structures. In addition to developing, launching, and optimizing paid digital/social advertising programs, this position may oversee work done by other employees and contractors, so a proven ability to deliver results through others is essential, including collaborating and/or coaching for performance goals. As a leader of our organization, you would show the way by demonstrating continual growth in your knowledge and skills so as to enlarge DirectiveGroup’s industry authority position, including writing articles for internal and external blogs, speaking at conferences and seminars, making content updates to our corporate website, developing and delivering presentations, networking and referring new clients, etc. We are a virtual company, so you’d be joining a team of self-starters who are very disciplined and organized. To do well in this role, you will require: • Expert knowledge in B2B paid digital advertising (search, display, programmatic, shopping, CTV, etc.), including all aspects of attaining strong performance, including DTC. • Expert knowledge in B2B paid social advertising (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), including all aspects of attaining strong performance, primarily for B2B. • Strong to expert knowledge in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking, plus expertise with Excel and PowerBI. • Working knowledge of Landing Page Development, Organic Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, SEO, and Content Marketing. • Strong client relationship management and outstanding representation of company and industry in small settings and large venues, including fostering an industry-leading POV. • Strong capabilities in project management, process management and all internal administrative processes that underlie a consistently strong performance. • A significant plus to very deep hands-on digital experience would be previous agency ownership experience, a broad and well-seasoned business background or a top tier consulting background. Year 1 Compensation: $85K - $95K annually (FT hours ~45 per week). For the right person and under the right circumstances, it is possible to start this position at 50% or 75% time. Outcomes: First Six Months • Develops and executes tactical multi-channel growth plans for B2B clients under management to meet performance goals of at least 20% growth YoY in measures of individual client performance across all (integrated) program tactics. • Participates in and/or oversees the development of DirectiveGroup strategies, including development of tactics within domains of expertise, and subsequent authoritative presentation and implementation of these strategies that achieves targeted performance goals. • Leads program and client management that includes oversight of all tactics, interaction and leadership with the client, and solution-finding/problem-solving to meet client objectives in novel or unstructured situations. • Conducts Paid/Social Advertising Audits that uncovers opportunities and problems, and presents to existing and prospective clients in an authoritative and persuasive way to achieve goals of winning ongoing business. • Follows project and process management best practices to deliver all in-scope requirements within given timeframe and within given hours, for self and all managed resources. • Leads thought leadership internally and externally to build the DirectiveGroup brand and to generate interest in our services, including assisting sales engineering as well as securing interest through industry presentations. Qualifications: Qualifications • 8+ years Paid Digital & 5+ years Paid Social Advertising complex program set-up and management across companies of multiple sizes and industries, in local, regional, and national markets. • 5+ years executing B2B paid digital/social advertising programs. • 5+ Certifications + deep knowledge required: Google Search, GDN, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Bing. Experience and expertise in other channels a plus. • Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding credentials. Postgraduate degree and/or professional designation an asset. • Strong business acumen and experience in communicating with executives at larger companies and owners/CEOs and smaller companies. • [Preferred] 10+ years’ experience with traditional marketing for B2B clients, both agency and client side.
