POSITION SUMMARY

The Remote Benefits Coordinator assists with administering employee benefits and ensures accurate utilization. This position also provides guidance and assistance to employees for all benefit programs.

SALARY

$23,920

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree plus 2 years of progressively responsible experience in benefit administration is required. SHRM-CP or SCP preferred.

Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required. Technical proficiency and troubleshooting abilities with HRIS software and Microsoft Office required. Working knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce is desirable.

Part time 20 hours/week-Candidate must be able to work Eastern Time Zone hours

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for providing all FMLA and ADA forms to staff and tracking the dates of all FMLA and ADA forms.

Assist in the administration of all benefit programs providing analysis and serves a a contact for employees with benefit questions; provides support to employees for all benefit related questions and processes data changes when necessary.

Assist in processes enrollments, terminations, and changes to benefit elections including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, HSA , FMLA, and 403(b) on vendor sites or through vendor notification and in HR systems.

Assist with tracking and approving flu shot vaccination forms.

Assist with tracking and approving annual wellness affidavits.

Assist with workers compensation.

Assist with year-end processes, including PPACA.

Assist with addressing external and internal benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure a rapid and accurate response and resolution. Maintains contact by phone, via Teams or e-mail, with providers, insurance companies, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate appropriate utilization of benefits for all employees.

Assist with conducting open enrollment meetings with employees.

Provides assistance during benefit related audits.

Assist Director of Benefits in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company.

Assist with wellness programs, including the annual walking program, biometrics screenings and wellness seminars.

Administers the clinic’s FMLA program.

Provides departing employees with information regarding their benefits.

Coordinates COBRA administration with vendor.

Files personnel documents to ensure employee records contain the most up to date information.

Maintains confidential HR information.

Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
